Tim has a vast & diverse background in Dance, Pilates, Aerobics, Tae Bo, Indoor & Outdoor Personal Training.
Tim's first passion was dance. 10 years as a Professional Dancer reaching the level of Principal dancer in the dance company & receiving many accolades including the nomination in Dance Australia as one of Australia's leading male dancers of all time.
Formal dance training began at age 9 and then at 14 he trained at the New Zealand School of Dance winning a Scholarship at 17 to attend The Victorian College of the Arts (Melbourne) where he went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts in Dance.

Tim's experience as a fitness professional include all aspects of training initially in Queensland and then Tauranga, New Zealand. Here he spent 6 years building his own Mobile Fitness Business that received business award nominations & where as a trainer he reached the Powerade top 10 Personal Trainers in New Zealand.
His return to Australia is a combined dream with his wife, Martine, to design a stylish fitness club that offers the very best service & the very best in Results orientated training.

My whole life has been devoted to physicality, how the body moves and how to live life to it's optimum.
My first career was as a professional dancer. To achieve this my early life as a child and teenager were consumed with classes, training included Ballet, Contemporary Dance & Pilates. Achieving Honors Results in almost all Cecchetti Examinations, awarded Cecchetti Gold Medal Sth Aust and winning Intermediate & Advanced Scholarships gave me the drive to turn this passion for dance into a career.
After tertiary training at the Centre for Performing Arts in Adelaide my dance career lasted a wonderful 10 years and took me all around Australia and to Europe. This included performing, teaching & choreographing.
Along with my husband,Tim, I made a shift away from dance and into the Fitness world. Both dancers, we loved to move our bodies but were keen to learn & discover more!! So it began .......

After nearly 2 years instructing & personal training in Queensland, we sold up and moved to New Zealand.
6 years in New Zealand building a successful Personal Training Business with Tim & managing the Pilates Plus studio along with non- stop training & teaching (well a couple of short stops to have two gorgeous kiwi babies!) gave me a wealth of experience and the desire & confidence to return to Adelaide and set up Fitness 5022.
As a trainer I incorporate a lot of the Pilates technique into regular training & believe in making your fitness & "body time" fit in with the rest of life. Consistency, Balance & Belief in Yourself is what I try to develop in to my clients programs.
I love this Club. Fitness 5022 is exactly what we wanted it to be. A fitness club that offers you the personal touch, motivation and a place that encourages you to make fitness a way of life!

Martial Arts have always been a major part of my life as long as I can remember. From watching kung fu films as a child, beginning training in the art of taekwondo at age 12 and also practicing Boxing, Kung fu and Capoera throughout the years.

Accompishments:
Helen has worked in the fitness industry in Adelaide for 15 years and since 2004 has specialised in Pilates.
With a background in classical and modern ballet, Helen has continued to "move her body" since the age of 5. She believes in a whollistic approach to wellness by combining effective eating, exercise and coping skills.
Over the past 20 years Helen has also worked as a training consultatnt in both the public and private sectors, facilitating a wide range of management and business skills programs for a diverse group of organisations in SA , interstate and overseas.
Helen is able to combine her knowledge and skills in group facilitation, fitness and Pilates and offer her experience and expertise to Fitness 5022 clients in either one on one or group Pilates classes.
